This 16x20 mixed media piece is created on a base layer of pages from an 1877 "Wisconsin Laws" book.  As I was laying this foundation my mind wandered to "laws of nature." As I continued to arrange the birch trees, it occurred to me that that they resembled an inverted peace symbol., which led me to the quote. The peace of the forest is my happy place, maybe it's yours too.  Additional materials include real birch bark, acrylic paints, and doily.
